Hi, I'm Jason
Jason Tafee is a native English speaker who has been teaching kids, teens and adults for 9 years. He is TEFL certified and holds a master's degree in educational design and evaluation. Over his career he has taught more than 1,000 students from different cultures and age groups.
Jason believes students learn best when they feel safe and comfortable. That is why his lessons create an atmosphere where asking questions, making mistakes and trying things out is completely normal. He does not follow a textbook page by page; he designs each plan around the student's level, interests and goals.
Lessons take place online via Zoom anywhere in Turkey, or in person at the student's home in Istanbul.

Frequently asked questions
Are lessons online or in person?
Both. Online lessons run over Zoom from anywhere in Turkey; in-person lessons take place at the student's home in Istanbul.
Which levels do you teach?
From beginner (A1) to upper-intermediate (B2). Complete beginners are welcome; we determine your level together in the first consultation.
Do you teach children?
Yes. Jason works with kids and teens from age 8. Parents speak with Jason one-to-one before lessons start, so the process and expectations are clear from day one.
How long is a lesson?
Each lesson lasts 60 minutes.
Which language is used during lessons?
It depends on your level. Jason also speaks Turkish, so beginners get support where needed; as your confidence grows, more and more of the lesson happens in English.
Are lesson materials included?
Yes. Alongside textbooks, you get original materials and homework created for your specific needs.
What if I need to reschedule?
Just give at least 2 days' notice. Missed lessons get a make-up lesson, and purchased lessons never expire.
How much do lessons cost?
Packages start at 8 lessons, and the 12-lesson package includes a discount. Message us on WhatsApp for current pricing; messages are answered between 8 AM and 6 PM, usually within half an hour.
